You can’t out-work a bad diet!

People often assume that to lose weight or achieve other fitness goals, your main focus should be on the amount and intensity of exercise that you are doing. While exercise and training properly is obviously crucial to this process, it is only one factor amongst so many more.
It isn’t uncommon for people to put more emphasis on their training, whether this be training more frequently or with more intensity, to accommodate for the fact that they are not willing to eliminate or minimize certain foods in their diet. You can’t eat an entire pizza and then jump on the cross-trainer for an hour with the mindset that you’re going to be able to burn it off. It simply doesn’t work like that.
There needs to be 100% effort put toward every aspect of your goal for it to be achieved. You can’t be slack on one thing, such as your nutrition or hydration, and expect to get the result you are looking for purely through exercise alone. All fitness goals are byproducts of a number of lifestyle factors working hand in hand. Start by focusing particularly on nutrition, hydration, training, sleep, and stress levels.
Remember, don’t use exercise as a means for punishing yourself after eating something that doesn’t fit with your diet. It is still important to enjoy other foods occasionally and in moderation 🙌
